Persisent rootkits they activate malware when you start (re-start) the computer. and memory-based rootkits they go dead when you re-start the computer... RootkitRevealer is a advanced tool that helps you to find rootkits... the programm finds the most rootkits: AFX, Vanquish and HackerDefender. the programm needs the account that he can scan all the files... the administrator accout. he can find thing that he thinks that is a rootkit.. but he cant remove them.. ( sorry for the bad englisch ) there are 2 versions of rootkit. one for the user interface and one for the commandline. in the linked zip file are the 2 apps.
